Dear Scientific Experts,
On behalf of Prof. Huanming Yang, Prof. Youliang Peng and Prof. Sophien Kamoun, it is our great pleasure to invite you to attend the “International Plant Pathogenomics Conference”, which will be held in 24-26, January 2011, Shenzhen, China.
This is the first specialized conference of plant pathogenomics in the field of genomics and genetics. The meeting is jointly organized by BGI (www.genomics.cn), China Agriculture University and The Sainsbury Laboratory (TSL). Over 200 clinicians and scientists from all over the world, experts in the field of plant disease, are expected to attend this conference aiming at developing new and improved strategies for the genetic investigation of plant pathogenomics.
As a world-class research institution, BGI has established its own technical platforms based on large-scale genome sequencing, efficient bioinformatics analyses, and innovative genetic plant pathogenomics initiatives. China Agriculture University is a Research-Oriented University, which is in the chairmanship of 12 items in the National Key Basic Research Program ("973 Plan"). ?Three disciplines, agricultural science, botany and zoology, environmental ecology, are on the top 1% of the world. The Sainsbury Laboratory (TSL), is a world-leading institution in the field of plant–microbe interactions, and is actively involved in several plant pathogen genome sequencing projects.
We are confident that your active participation will ensure the great success of this meeting, contributing to the advancement of the plant pathogenic microorganisms and insect pests, not only in China, but throughout the world.
The BGI conference team (meeting@genomics.org.cn) will do their best to assist your routing during the meeting and inform you of the detailed schedule in the second notification letter once some feedback from majority of the participants. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us. We appreciate hearing whether you are interested in participating to this conference before 20th October, 2010.
