而且,在一种用化学致癌物诱导的皮肤癌中,上皮细胞过量表达人类Ikkα的小鼠能够控制一种被缩短的兜甲蛋白(loricrin)启动子。通过Ikkα转基因来促进上皮细胞最终分化时,能够降低上皮中有丝分裂的活动水平,并且减少皮肤基质中血管新成的活动。
因此,上皮中Ikkα的过表达能够对抗致癌物质诱导的促有丝分裂和血管形成活性,从而抑制肿瘤的恶化和转移。(生物通杨遥)

The research in my laboratory focuses on understanding IkB kinase a (IKKa) associated keratinocyte differentiation, proliferation and tumourgenesis. The formation of epidermis is a renewal and coordinated process of keratinocyte differentiation, proliferation an death. The mechanisms of this process is largely unknown. IKKa changes the cell fate. We are currently searching the effectors of downstream to IKKa responsible for the switch of keratinocyte differentiation and proliferation, and investigating whether the uncontrolled keratinocyte growth induced by mutated IKKa provides an underlying mechanism for the further tumourgenesis under certain circumstances.
